Service agreement and conditions for professional carpet cleaning services provided by Jack's Carpet Cleaning.

Service Agreement

By scheduling carpet cleaning services with Jack's Carpet Cleaning, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms govern the relationship between you (the customer) and Jack's Carpet Cleaning (the service provider).

Service Scope:

  • Professional carpet, rug, and upholstery cleaning services
  • Stain removal and odor elimination treatments
  • Protective treatments and maintenance services
  • Emergency cleaning response services

Scheduling and Appointments

Appointment Confirmation:

All appointments must be confirmed 24 hours in advance. We will contact you to confirm your scheduled service time and provide arrival estimates.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours before scheduled service
  • Same-day cancellations may incur a $50 service call fee
  • Weather-related cancellations are exempt from fees
  • Emergency services require 2-hour advance notice for cancellation

Access Requirements:

Customer must provide clear access to all areas to be cleaned. Additional fees may apply if furniture moving is required beyond normal service scope.

Payment Terms

Payment Methods:

  • Cash, check, or major credit cards accepted
  • Payment is due upon completion of services
  • Commercial accounts may arrange net-30 payment terms
  • Returned checks incur a $35 processing fee

Pricing and Estimates:

All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days. Final pricing may vary based on actual conditions encountered during service. Any significant price changes will be discussed and approved before proceeding.

Additional Charges:

  • Emergency service calls: Additional $50 fee
  • Excessive soil conditions: 15-25% surcharge
  • Furniture moving beyond standard service: $25-50
  • Travel fees for locations outside primary service area

Service Limitations and Liability

Service Limitations:

  • Some stains may be permanent and cannot be removed
  • Color bleeding or dye transfer is not always preventable
  • Carpet shrinkage may occur with certain fiber types
  • Pre-existing damage may become more visible after cleaning

Liability Coverage:

Jack's Carpet Cleaning carries comprehensive liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of re-cleaning or, if that is not possible, replacement value not to exceed $500 per incident unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customer Responsibilities:

  • Remove fragile items and valuables from cleaning areas
  • Provide accurate information about carpet type and previous treatments
  • Report any concerns immediately upon service completion
  • Allow adequate ventilation for proper drying

Satisfaction Policy

We stand behind our work with a comprehensive satisfaction policy. If you are not completely satisfied with our service, we will return to re-clean the affected area at no additional charge.

Satisfaction Conditions:

  • Concerns must be reported within 24 hours of service completion
  • Re-cleaning must be scheduled within 7 days of original service
  • Customer must allow access for re-cleaning at reasonable times
  • Satisfaction policy applies to workmanship, not carpet limitations

Dispute Resolution

We are committed to resolving any disputes fairly and promptly. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication with our customer service team.

Resolution Process:

  1. Contact our customer service team immediately
  2. Allow opportunity for re-service if applicable
  3. Escalate to management if initial resolution is unsatisfactory
  4. Mediation through local business bureau if needed
